Singapore gets 100 more places for Hajj 2018

The KSA Ministry of Haj and Umrah has allocated 900 places for Singaporean pilgrims for Hajj 2018 (1439). This is 100 more than the previous Hajj season.

The announcement was made by the Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim at the project launch of the new Madrasah Al-Arabiah Al-Islamiah campus.

Singapore was allocated 680 Hajj places annually between 2012 and 2016 due to development and upgrading projects taking place in the vicinity of the Holy Mosque in Makkah. One major project was the expansion of the Mataf (circumambulation) area.

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) has contacted all eligible Hajj registrants regarding the additional places.
