Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national carrier for KSA, has begun operating nonstop flights between the airline’s hub in Jeddah, KSA and the Iraqi capital of Baghdad in recognition of new business ties and growing economic development between the two nations.

A single-class Airbus A330 will be deployed on the route, featuring 300 Guest Class (economy) seats. Total flying time between Jeddah and Baghdad is two hours 25 minutes from Jeddah to Baghdad, and two hours and 50 minutes from Baghdad to Jeddah. The flight departs at 12:35pm from Jeddah, arriving in Baghdad at 3pm.

The route will initially commence as a daily service until November 15, and will become a double-daily frequency thereafter. The second daily flight commencing November 16 will leave Jeddah at 3:50am, arriving at 6:15am.

The new route becomes the airline’s 89th destination and fifth new route this year. Multan in Pakistan and Trivandrum in India were some of the destinations added to the global routemap within the last six months.
