More than 7,800 needy households in Singapore will receive greater financial support through the Year-End Disbursement (YED) this year, according to the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis). In a Facebook post the organisation said that disbursements amounted to about S$3.5 M, the highest amount to date, and comes from zakah.
More than 9,700 school-going children will benefit from Reqab (study) assistance, which is part of the YED.
