Carpets distributed to Afghan mosques

The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs (MOHIA) of Afghanistan has reported that 190,000 sq m of carpet, which cost US$2 million, was accepted from KSA in early June for distribution to mosques around the country.

During the handover ceremony Dr Dai-ul-Haq Abed, Superintendent and Deputy of administrative and financial affairs, Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, acknowledged KSA's aid in other sectors, including construction, mosque construction.

The Ali Mufaq Herawi mosque, a well-known mosque in Kabul with a long history, was the first to receive a carpet to be used for prayer.
