Korean food industry eyes Muslim market

An article in the Korea Herald has noted that Korean food makers are looking to expand their market share by catering to the Muslim market. 

According to the article, Korea's largest noodle maker Nongshim's best-selling Shin Ramyun instant noodles received halal accreditation from Malaysia's Jakim last year after establishing a halal-compliant production facility in Busan in 2011.
