The first group of Singapore pilgrims for
Hajj 2015/1436H departed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on September 1, reported MUIS, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore. The 43 pilgrims were
accompanied by six officers from the Singapore Pilgrims Affairs Office
(SPAO).
A total of 21 SPAO officers have been tasked to ensure the
well-being of all 680 pilgrims through the medical and welfare services
provided at their destination.
Subsequent groups will be departing
between 15 and 18 September 2015 with the first batch of pilgrims
expected to return on 1 October 2015.
