Services provided for Filipino pilgrims for Hajj 2016 were discussed during the meeting in addition to the arrangements and preparations needed to receive the delegation and to facilitate Hajj rituals.
Al-Sharif stressed on the effectiveness of the electronic path system that will be used this year. He also underlined the commitment to the programmes settled by the Ministry of Haj, including raising awareness of the pilgrims and grouping programmes related to the Jamaraat Bridge, which is used in one of the key Hajj rituals. He also spoke about the need to document the accommodation contracts of pilgrims assigned to licensed accommodation.
The delegation's head praised the high quality of integrated services rendered by the government of the Two Holy Mosques custodian in Makkah, Madinah, and other holy locations, and paid tribute to the expansions of the two holy mosques including al-Mataf - the route around the Ka'abah - and the continuous improvements to the logistics of the Hajj and umrah, such as the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro, a mass rapid transit system used only for Hajj, and the ongoing project of the two holy mosques train.
