Oman Hajj Mission set to leave on August 19

Sheikh Sultan bin Said al-Hinai, Head of the Omani Hajj Mission for the Hajj season of 2017, has affirmed that the mission is prepared for travelling both inside and outside the Sultanate.

In a report from the Oman News Agency Sheikh al-Hinai said that the mission will leave on 19th August and that all procedures related to the electronic registration system for Omani pilgrims are ongoing.

The transfer of Omani pilgrims' data to the Saudi Hajj Portal will start this week, resulting in the release of the pilgrim permits from KSA that pilgrims will need to enter the holy sites in KSA. The data transfer will also help Hajj companies to finalise contracts and services required by pilgrims in Madinah and Makkah.

He added that 9,000 pilgrims are confirmed out of the 14,000 pilgrims registered across 66 Hajj companies. Applications are being processed for replacement pilgrims.
