Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia (DYTM) Sultan Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, the Sultan of Kedah, has graced the farewell ceremony for Kedah's pilgrims for the 2018 Hajj season at the TH Hotel & Convention Center, in Kedah, Malaysia.

Flight KT06K with 150 pilgrims from Alor Setar left for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 9.46 pm on 17 July and departed for Madinah, KSA at 1.45am on 18 July.

HRH Sultan Sallehuddin congratulated pilgrims for being selected as Allah's guests this Hajj and advised them to fully focus on their Hajj. He hoped that they might be granted mabrur Hajj*.

Seventeen chartered flights have been provided for Kedah's pilgrims for the Hajj season this year, departing from Sultan Abdul Halim Airport, Alor Setar.

YB Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof, Malaysia Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, separately sent off 490 Malaysian pilgrims to KSA on the same day.

The contingent is part of the 30,200 Malaysian pilgrims who have been granted permission to perform Hajj according to the quota officially granted to Malaysia by the Saudi authorities for this year's Hajj season.

Preparations to receive the Malaysian pilgrims in KSA are handled by Tabung Haji's welfare and medical officers.

*An accepted Hajj, with paradise as the reward, in return for doing things right. There is no set answer for what makes Hajj mabrur but obeying all the tenets of what makes a good Muslim would be key, as is outlined in this discussion.
