The Saudi Press Agency has reported that more than 800,000 Hajj pilgrims have arrived in KSA as of 6 August, 2018.
According to the Directorate General For Passports, 835,487 pilgrims came via air, land and sea ports, an increase of 54,010 pilgrims compared to the same period last year.
The majority of pilgrims landed by air (803,753 pilgrims), followed by overland (22,352 pilgrims) and then by sea (9,382 pilgrims).
The Saudi Press Agency and the State News Agency of Turkmenistan separately reported that the first batch of 153 Turkmen Hajj pilgrims left for KSA on a chartered Turkmenhowayollary Service flight after a farewell ceremony graced by the Saudi Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Khalid bin Faisal Al-Sahli, and the Mufti of Turkmenistan.
