KSA announces Hajj conditions for 2021

On June 13, the SPA announced that the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh received here today Afghan Minister of Hajj, Endowments and Guidance Sheikh Mohammed Qasim Halimi.

The two ministers hailed the decision to limit Hajj for 2021 to citizens and residents in the Kingdom, calling the decision a wise move as the decision stipulated that the overall number of those to perform the rituals shall not exceed 60,000 pilgrims, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and in order to preserve the safety of the pilgrims.

Measures to limit COVID continue apace. President General of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet's Holy Mosque Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais inaugurated on June 12 a smart robot to distribute bottles of Zamzam water.

The robot works on distributing the water without human intervention and without affecting the movement inside the two Holy Mosques.
