Eid Al Adha will be on October 4 in Saudi Arabia, reported the Saudi Press Agency. The High Court of the Kingdom announced on the evening of September 24 that the crescent moon marking the start of the month of Dhul Hajja for the Hijri year 1435 had been seen just after sunset that evening.
The sighting of the moon officially marks 25 September as the first day of
Dhul Hajja, making the standing of
the Hajj pilgrimage at Mount Arafat on the outskirts of Makkah on 9th Dhul Hajja the
3rd of October 2014. Eid Al Adha therefore falls on the next day, October 4.
The Emirates 24/7 news portal earlier said that Kuwait government departments will be closed from October 3 to 12 for Eid.
