Maarof Mosque, Singapore's 70th mosque, is now open.

The new mosque will serve residents of Jurong West and Boon Lay, workers from the Jurong Industrial Estate, Tuas, as well as students from nearby institutions including the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

The Mufti of Singapore, Dr Mohamed Fatris Bakaram, consecrated the four-storey mosque, which has a capacity of 4,500 congregants, on 19 August. In addition to being barrier-free, the mosque is also the first to be equipped with a hearing enhancement system that enhances the experience of congregants with hearing aids.

The mosque is now recruiting a finance officer, with applicants to submit their documents by September 6.
