Alizz Islamic Bank opens Tharwa Lounge in Sohar, Oman

Alizz Islamic Bank, one of the first dedicated Islamic banks in Oman, has opened a facility for high net worth individuals as part of its commitment to excellence in customer service. 

The bank has opened a Tharwa Lounge at its Sohar branch on Al-Bahja Street, offering the services of a highly-qualified relationship manager to account holders who have balances of over OR40,000 and for each Tharwa account member who earns an income exceeding OR4,000 a month. 

"Tharwa Lounge brings to our customers all the privileges they need to manage their funds with convenience. This initiative comes in line with Alizz Islamic Bank's policy to give our customers easy access to the best services," Moosa Al Jadidi, COO, Alizz, said.

"As one of the special features of Tharwa, each customer will get a MasterCard credit card with several facilities and privileges. The card offers access to over 450 lounges at international airports and discounts at different stores all over the Sultanate."

Yasir Al-Azzawi, Head of Wealth Management, Alizz Islamic Bank, added that MasterCard privileges for members will include free stays at Starwood Hotels and Resorts and discounts for luxury hotel apartments. The card holders will also benefit from insurance coverage for accidents and flight cancellations as well as reduced prices for travel packages and health clubs. 

Deposits, financing as well as high-value deposit accounts such as the Izdihar Savings Account, fixed investment deposit account and Wakala deposit account are also at members' disposal. Members will also be entitled to get low transaction and service fees at all branches.
