Upgraded Masjid Haji Muhammad Salleh is launched

Masjid Haji Muhammad Salleh (Palmer Road) has reopened, the Islamic Council of Singapore (Muis) has announced on its Facebook page.

Situated on the outskirts of the Central Business District, the 114-year old mosque can accommodate 700 congregants. Upgrading works for the facilities included repainting, replacement of the mosque's entrance gate and roof tile, new perimeter fencing, recarpeting for the prayer hall and retiling of the mosque's open area.

New features include a toilet for the disabled, customer service office, glass canopy for a new extended prayer space, a platform lift and two additional classrooms.
