Donors needed for the PGA Children Raya Special 2019

Singapore charitable movement Project Goodwill Aid (PGA) has been running the PGA Children Raya Special for several years.

Every year the organisation calls for donors to bring children who are orphans, have special needs, who have single parents, parent(s) who are incarcerated or who come from low-income, large families to shop for Hari Raya clothing and shoes.

This year, PGA asks that donors accompany the children and their guardians on weekends to shop as Ramadhan falls during the school semester and assessment period. Although each kids’ needs are different, PGA says most will require traditional clothing and matching shoes, to the tune of S$80* per child.

PGA also asks that if the shopping time comes close to sunset that donors treat the family to a simple iftar, or if it ends earlier, to pack some snacks for the family to enjoy later.
