Eight officers from the Singapore Pilgrims' Affairs Office (SPAO) are already on the ground, with 13 others arriving within the week, MUIS noted. Together with the general sales agents (GSAs), the SPAO ensures that the safety and well-being of our pilgrims in the Holy Lands are looked after.
MUIS will work closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and Saudi Haj Authorities to monitor the situation in Makkah, and will offer assistance where necessary, the organisation said.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance in KSA has provided a large number of preachers, translators and administrators to provide religious dissemination services to pilgrims during Hajj 2015.
The Adviser to the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, Head of media committee of Islamic awareness in Hajj, and Director General of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs branch in Makkah Sheikh Talal bin Ahmed Al-Aqeel said that the Ministry has produced 1,000 television and radio episodes in ten international languages that further awareness of Hajj rituals.

As of September 14, 1,103,147 pilgrims have arrived in KSA for the Hajj, the Saudi Press Agency reported separately.
