Sallim Mattar Mosque completes upgrading works

Sallim Mattar Mosque, one of the first mosques to be built in Singapore, has been upgraded thanks to donations and Mosque Building Mendaki Fund (MBMF) contributions, reports Muis, the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.

Visitors will enjoy a new lift and mobility aids such as ramps and handrails at the mosque, which is in the Macpherson-Kallang area, along Mattar Road.

Originally built in 1824, the mosque last underwent major upgrading in February 2003.
