President Jokowi gives scholarships to Islamic students in Madura, Indonesia

President Jokowi (right) attended Halaqah Kebangsaan (a special gathering) on  October 8 where he met clerics, Islamic school caretakers, and Islamic students  from Madura Island who had done well academically at Al Amien Prenduan  Islamic School in Sumenep Regency, East Java, Indonesia.

Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is optimistic that Indonesia has human resources with high-quality skills after witnessing the number of high achievers among Islamic students with in Madura Island, East Java.

He has responded by conferring scholarships on the students after discussions with Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
